New to New Zealand, electronic housie tickets! "Bingo Play" is a free app that players can download on their own phone or tablet directly from the app store https://bingoplay.app. Once the app is downloaded, you can “play a demonstration game” to see how it works OR purchase tickets and add to your session today! Now, let’s be honest most players can manage up to six tickets per game - listening to the calls and marking off the numbers, but any more than six tickets there really is only a talented few who can keep up and stay alert to call bingo! The thing is, players want to play more tickets, so they have more chances to win, and housie organisers want to sell more tickets to raise more funds and offer higher prizes however with just paper tickets this is difficult. This is where Bingo Play, electronic tickets, comes into action! The idea being that Bingo Play doesn’t replace paper tickets; it works alongside paper tickets. Players still have the fun of searching for numbers and using their dabber to mark off numbers on their paper tickets, but at the same time players have their additional tickets on their electronic device (whether this be their phone or tablet). How it works, is players download the free Bingo Play app, and purchase their electronic tickets from the co-ordinator. Bingo Play tickets are just like paper tickets (ie. serial numbered, a unique series to ensure no duplicate tickets, available in a full range of game books and single housie tickets) except for the fact they are purchased as a QR code. Once purchased the player opens the Bingo Play app on their own device and scans the QR code to load the tickets onto their app. Players can then scroll through and see all their tickets (up to 48 tickets per game). When it comes to game time, the session co-ordinator advises the winning feature (ie. any line) and players ensure that that this feature is selected on their Bingo Play app. The Bingo Play app will always display the 1-90 grid and the two tickets that have the highest chance of winning on the screen. As numbers are called, players use their dabber to mark their paper ticket/s, and select the number on the Bingo Play 1-90 grid to mark their electronic ticket/s. Once a number is selected on the grid, the Bingo Play app will automatically search all their electronic tickets and mark off the corresponding number. The added bonus being that the Bingo Play app will notify the player when a ticket is only one call way, and will display when they get Bingo, making it easy to manage your electronic ticket alongside your paper tickets. How To add Bingo Play to your Housie Session: 1.Players download the free "Bingo Play" app on their own phone or tablet. 2.Players purchase "Bingo Play" tickets (QR Code) from the session co-ordinator. 3.Players open the Bingo Play app and scan the QR Code which will load the tickets to their app. 4.Time to play! Players check the correct feature on the app is selected (ie. line, house) and use the 90 number keypad to mark numbers as drawn by the caller. (The app will automatically search all tickets for the corresponding number and mark these off. The two tickets with the most marked numbers will always show at the top of the players screen). 5.When a ticket completes the winning pattern, the player shouts Bingo!
